I don’t think the Christian Nationalists are as powerful as many suppose. I think if Trump wins, Republicans will quickly discover that the Gen X men who delivered the White House to them aren’t on board with a bunch of prudish moralizing, and if they push it will get shown the door quite quickly.

Still, they are a HUGE percentage of the GOP, so you have to take their threat seriously
