Until very recently, the Second Amendment was not understood to confer a right to possess a firearm independent of any connection with a militia. Reading it any other way negates the whole well regulated militia clause. I agree the constitution does not by its terms confer a right to an abortion, but it’s many explicit guarantees and the ninth and tenth amendments, when read together, do suggest a degree of bodily autonomy is taken as given.
