Two thoughts, but first, thanks for pointing out that "transgenderism" is seen as a bigoted term. I was not aware. First, if Kamala loses, it will undoubtedly be in no small part due to the reaction engendered by the hostility in comments like yours. Going in all guns blazing is not how to make friends and persuade people who think differently.

Second, I completely disagree with the assertion that gender presentation is fundamentally different from gender identity. Re-read Butler or any theorist on gender and identity, and you'll see there is an intimate link between how identity is constructed internally, and the external sources that inform and constrain that construction. We learn what it means to identify as a man or woman based on how people who call themselves men and women present themselves in public. There's nowhere else to learn it.
