There’s higher inequality in cities than in rural areas because rural areas are generally poorer while the highest paying jobs are found in cities. Ironically, there would be a lot less rural poverty if it weren’t for the deregulation, lax antitrust enforcement, and union busting policies of the Republican party that destroyed rural industry.
