The idea that immigrants are future Democratic voters is silly. Most of them will never be eligible to vote, and the ones that do eventually gain citizenship could be Republican voters if the GOP bothered to court them instead of suggesting their presence dilutes the nation’s racial purity. They’re generally more religious and more socially conservative than the average white person.
