So, it’s clearly a partisan gerrymander, which the Court has said is ok. But this being Alabama, and party affiliation among Black voters being what it is, it’s also a racial gerrymander, which isn’t allowed.

The Courts conservatives tend to think that whenever an action has a plausible and independent lawful justification, the fact that it also has a probable and unlawful one doesn’t matter.

Naturally I disagree.
