Not sure about your analysis. Who do you imagine would reinstate Citizens United? Obviously not Democrats.

Republicans? I highly doubt it. They know unlimited campaign spending polls badly. They don’t want that on their hands. It’s just like abortion. Better to let unelected judges with life tenure do your dirty work. After all they don’t have to run for re-election.

But the ruling that really matter isn’t Citizens United, it’s Rucho. With that law on the books, the GOP will continue transforming state after state into single party dictatorships. If you don’t believe me, just look at Wisconsin. That’s the mold for the whole country: make elections irrelevant because your side wins no matter what.
