Leave was a mistake. It didn’t actually reduce immigration, as you point out, and it cost Britain significantly. Not just economically, but politically as well. The British people still wanted to trade with Europe, so they agreed to a new free trade deal outside the EU. Only now that theyre not members, they don’t have a seat at the table when the EU nations negotiate new laws and regulations.

They thought they were asserting their sovereignty but they actually gave even more away.
