Just because Democrats are in favor of universal health care doesn’t mean they aren’t also in favor of stimulus spending to create jobs, or programs to feed and shelter the poor. They favor all those things. It’s Republicans who oppose them.

Regarding internet access, I think you are also blaming the wrong people. America’s crappy internet access and high costs are a function of lax enforcement of antitrust laws, and conservative legal philosophy that favors corporate consolidation. Net neutrality is part of that overall package, but at the same time the Dems have also been pushing harder than Republicans to break up tech monopolies and introduce more competition.
