I'll vote for the people who won't strip me of the right to vote in the future.
Both parties try to gerrymander. But there are important reasons why Republicans can succeed at it and Democrats, for the most part, can't.
The most important reason is that Democratic voters tend to live in more densely populated areas. These areas are easier to "pack" and "crack" as the process is called. It's a hell of a lot harder to gerrymander people who live in more sparsely populated areas, ad Republicans tend to do.
As for corporate money, sure, corporate America hedges its bets. But make no mistake. Democratic control largely means more regulation and higher corporate taxes, so who do you think they're going to support more?
