I wouldn’t go so far as to say that the mind is solely the province of science, but I do think that philosophers of mind are committing professional malpractice if they aren’t familiar with books like The Adapted Mind by Cosmides and Tooby, Darwin Machines and the Nature of Knowledge by Henry Plotkin, and Neurophilosophy by Patricia Churchland.
