I think the key to maximizing positive recognition and minimizing negative recognition is to maximize our exposure to each other from the earliest age possible.

In a recent piece I argued that we can’t really see each other as individuals, and thereby shed group-level stereotypes, until we see each other regularly. That means social justice has to be preceded by a program of radical desegregation.
