I linked to Schmidhuber’s article because he also talks about low versus high complexity. It seems to me that”entropic” is a very good word for a phenomenon that would otherwise require a whole lot of words to unpack.

I’d also recommend reading “Relevance: Communication and Cognition” by Sperber and Wilson, but the term relevance doesn’t quite mean the same thing, even in its technical sense.
