I have no problem with capitalism or a market economy per se. My problem is with the unfettered capitalism promoted by libertarians. Denmark and Sweden are famous for their generous welfare states, and social democrats in the U.S. are always talking about wanting to emulate their policies. But they are also market-based economies that were recently listed #4 and #5 respectively in U.S. News and World Report’s ranking of best countries to do business in.
