I agree with Sanders. My wife and I donated to his campaign in 2016. I think he would have won that year, and the Democrats would have been the party to claim the mantle of opposition to the establishment, as they should have been. Instead, thanks to Americans woeful lack of historical knowledge and the Dems’ refusal to embrace populism (still afraid of what happened to them in the 80s), the GOP was by some miracle able to claim that mantle for itself.
