First, a correction. The case that overturned Roe concerned a Mississippi law, not a Texas law. Texas now effectively prohibits all non-therapeutic abortions.

I’m fine with a fifteen week cutoff, but in Europe they manage a 12-14 week window because most health care providers provide abortion and it’s often covered by their universal health care.

In America, by contrast, pointless regulations have driven most abortion clinics out of business, and the ones that remain are so backlogged that women often can’t get an appointment until late in the first trimester or early in the second.
