Do you also take Aesop’s fables literally? What about the myths of the Greeks, the Norse, and the Aztecs, or great literary works like Les Miserables or The Brothers Karamazov?

If you don’t, why not? I suspect it’s because you identify with the Bible in a way that you don’t with those other myths. It’s not that the Bible is more historically or scientifically defensible. It’s not. You identify with the Bible for tribalistic reasons.
