Concentrating on the judges and their judicial philosophy - which as I said are much more predictable than trying to figure out how a politician will behave in office - makes the choice much easier.

I don't believe that Biden is senile, for example, and I don't really care whether Trump is clinically a pathological narcissist. But whether or not either of those claims are true, it doesn't change who their administrations would appoint to the federal bench.

Since I want to still enjoy the right to vote in the future, and not fear police invading my privacy, and for our country and our species to at least have a shot at solving big problems, I currently have no choice but to vote for whoever has the (D) next to their name.

All the rest is a sideshow,.
