Climate change is very important to me too. I’d say it’s one of my top three concerns, with the others being the health of our democratic institutions and inequality.

And I regard all these as related. Authoritarian societies lack flexible, responsive mechanisms for self-correction, and too much inequality erodes the idea of a common political identity.

On each of these big three, the Ds look better to me than the GOP.
